dancer-1.jpgCorey Q Baker is a native of Christchurch, New Zealand and has been based in Europe for
the past 2 years having worked in Switzerland
before moving to the UK. Our youngest dancer
in the company, Corey comes from a ballet
based background and has worked as an
apprentice with Australian Dance Theatre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

dancer-2.jpgJoss Barnaby Carter originally comes from
Kidderminster and is in his final year of training
at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in
Leeds on their 3 year BPA (Hons) degree
programme. Joss has worked in France on
various Opera productions as well as several
music videos here in the UK.

 

 

 

 

 

dancer-3.jpgKai Downham started dancing whilst studying
for his GCSE’s at Brockhill Park School in Kent.
He is currently studying in his second year at
Chichester University and is also an
accomplished choreographer, having created a
Without Walls commission with Balletboyz,
which toured nationally to major UK street
festivals in summer 2009.

Studio Centre & London Contemporary Dance
School. He has performed internationally for
Diversions Dance Company as well as with
Henri Oguike Dance Company for whom he
taught extensive residency sessions based
around the Company’s repertoire.

 

 

 

 

 

dancer-5.jpgJesus Sanz Mancera is from Barcelona and
studied at the Institut del Teatre before going on
to perform with Thomas Noone Dance and IT
Dansa Companyia, where he performed in
works by Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, Rafael
Bonachela and Ohad Naharin.

 

 

 

 

 

dancer-6.jpgAnthony Middleton was born and raised in
West Yorkshire and before coming to dance was
a member of the Great Britain Gymnastic
Squad, where he won Bronze at the 1993 World
Championships. He is currently in his final year
at Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

 

 

 

 

 

dancer-7.jpgLeon Poulton graduated from Trinity Laban
Dance Centre in 2009 with a 1 st Class honours
degree. He has performed in the summer
programme of ROH2 working with Will
Tuckett. His acceptance into our new company
brings him full circle as he started dancing by
participating in various boys’ dance workshops
with Billy and Michael, whilst still at secondary
school in his native Essex.

 

 

 

 

dancer-8.jpgMatthew Rees hails from Hythe in Kent and
has no formal training. He too, was introduced
to dance at Brockhill Park School and prior to
being accepted into Balletboyz worked with
numerous youth dance groups in Kent as well
as touring throughout the UK this summer in a
Without Walls Commission. Had he not been
selected to join the company, Matt was
planning to join The Royal Marines.
